What tiling costs in the UK

Day rates and per m² rates are labour only, with tiles, adhesive, grout and trims on top. Whole-job prices may include tiles, as each source says, and London runs higher.

Bathroom tiling cost

Tiling a bathroom's walls and floor costs £800 to £1,200 in Checkatrade's tiling cost guide (updated June 2026) and £900 to £2,050 with ceramic tiles supplied in MyJobQuote's bathroom guide (September 2026), so expect £800 to £2,050 for a typical room.

Kitchen tiling cost

Tile removal cost

Taking up a ceramic tile floor costs about £13 per m² on average in Checkatrade's 2026 guide, so about £208 for a 16 m² room, and preparing the floor for new tiles adds about £6 per m².
