Cost guide figures checked 2 October 2026, not prices from listed tilers. Neither guide gives a tiler's price for a complete wet room, because the drain, the floor and the pipework are often other trades' work; ask each tiler exactly what their price covers.
What moves the price
- Area tanked. MyJobQuote's £100 to £250 range moves with the size of the area: a shower corner costs less than a whole room, walls and floor.
- The system. Liquid membranes, sheet membranes and sealed backer boards cost different amounts and take different times to cure.
- Forming the fall. A pre-formed sloping board or a bed laid to the gradient adds time and materials before tanking starts.
- Tile size. Small tiles follow a fall easily; large tiles on a sloped floor take more cutting or need a linear drain.
- Stripping out. A leaking shower usually means taking the old tiles and boards off back to the wall before anything new goes on.
