About Banks & Co Ceramics

Banks and Co Ceramics is Gavin Banks, a specialist tiler based in Peacehaven. Since the late 1990s, Gavin has tiled across every corner of Sussex, from Victorian hallway restorations in Brighton to swimming pool shells in Eastbourne. The business started as a one-person bathroom tiling operation and has grown to cover nine distinct tiling services.

The services listed are bathroom tiling, wet rooms and shower enclosures, kitchen tiling including splashbacks and herringbone layouts, Victorian encaustic and geometric tile restoration, swimming pool tiling with glass mosaic and coping, patio and pathway tiling in porcelain and stone, fireplace tiling in period and contemporary styles, mosaic tiling in glass and natural stone, and large format porcelain slab installation up to 1200x2400mm.

Banks and Co Ceramics covers Peacehaven, Brighton, Hove, Newhaven, Seaford, Lewes, Saltdean, Rottingdean, Telscombe Cliffs, Eastbourne, Polegate, Shoreham-by-Sea, Worthing, Burgess Hill and Haywards Heath. Every job starts with thorough assessment and preparation of the substrate. Gavin runs the quote, carries out the work and handles snagging, so the same person manages the project from start to finish. The business specialises in tiling across all surfaces, interior and exterior. Over 25 years, Gavin has worked with every tile type and substrate condition, taking on jobs such as complex herringbone patterns, period property restoration and swimming pools.
