About Angel Tiling / Angel Historic Tile Restoration
Angel Historic Tile Restoration is a female-led restoration business based in Middlewich, with over ten years of experience in the preservation of Victorian and encaustic tiled floors. It works on heritage and domestic properties across the North West and offers its specialist services across the UK.
The work centres on the repair, cleaning, retiling and full restoration of Victorian encaustic floors, geometric floors, and mosaic and tesserae floors. It often involves sourcing or hand-making matching tiles, reconstructing geometric patterns, stabilising original substrates and removing unsuitable modern interventions. Jobs range from a small porch repair to a hotel lobby, and the business also works for commercial clients, conservation architects and heritage bodies on listed buildings and public spaces.
The owner was trained by Master Craftsman Steve Sinnott of Heritage Tiling and Restoration Co, and uses traditional methods and materials wherever possible. The website mentions CSCS, and free quotations are available. Survey fees may apply depending on distance.
